It is possible to buy groceries and dine in Lyngsbæk, and only 7 km from here, Ebeltoft offers interesting sights, an abundance of special shops and a cosy town environment with cafés and restaurants.
The beach of Lyngsbæk is very suitable for children because of its shallow water and sandy bottom. The beach is also awarded with the Blue Flag and is ideal for both swimming and windsurfing. The 2 km long beach is surrounded by a scenic nature with a number of walking paths.
A couple of km towards north-east you will find 'Stubbe Sø' - the largest lake on Djursland. The lake has a fascinating bird life, as it is an important resting place for sea birds. The scenic, undulating forest areas 'Handrup Bakker', 'Skramsø Plantage' and 'Fruerlund Plantage' are all situated in this area as well.
Close to Lyngsbæk, the area 'Mols Bjerge' is located. The area is a magnificent and preserved nature landscape with a varying nature, a number of walking paths, grave mounds and a rich animal life. Thick forest is replaced by open moorland hills and you can enjoy the great views from the viewpoints 'Agri Bavnehøj' (137 m) and 'Trehøje' (127 m).
The peninsular Helgenæs is situated south of 'Mols Bjerge'. This interesting, scenic and undulating area is rich in culture-historical memorials.
In an undulating terrain with a view of the cove 'Ebeltoft Vig' and the peninsular 'Helgenæs' the area 'Fuglsø Bakker' is situated.
Djursland offers good opportunities for anglers, as it is possible to fish along the shores, from the piers and in the Put & Take fishponds of the area.

At 'Helgenæs Museum', situated in the vicarage, belonging to the church 'Stødov Kirke', an exhibition about the people of Helgenæs and their conditions of life is displayed.
In the animal park 'Skandinavisk Dyrepark' you will have genuine nature experiences. From the 250 metres long footbridge you can observe the bears in the amazing bear park (18 km).
The amusement park 'Djurs Sommerland' is a fun and interesting experience for the whole family. When the entry has been paid, you can make use of all activities for free (24 km).
An impressive sight awaits you in the aquarium 'Kattegatcentret'. Observe the fearful sharks at close range behind a thick pane of glass (32 km).
