The quiet, cosy and cosy holiday house area Kertinge lies by the cove 'Kertinge Nor', slightly west of Kerteminde.

The location of Kertinge, between Kerteminde and Odense, means short distances to good bathing beaches, lovely nature areas, leisure activities and sights. The peaceful holiday area is ideal for anglers, golf players, water sport enthusiasts and nature lovers. It is possible to buy groceries in the area, and 6 km from Kertinge you will find the cosy commercial town Kerteminde, where you can shop, eat and go sightseeing.
No real beach is available by Kertinge, as the coast is characterized by growth and jetties. The water is most suitable for angling, sailing and water sport here.
But only a few km from Kerting, the bathing beaches of Kerteminde are available. The beaches are situated both south and north of the harbour. The bottoms are sandy and the beaches are very suitable for children. The water is very clear and the Blue Flag are waving on the beaches.
'Nordstranden' is the most visited part of the beach. By both beaches a bathing beach, an ice-cream stall, toilets and parking places are available. The area also offers good opportunities for windsurfing.
The cove 'Kertinge Nor' belongs to the inlet 'Kerteminde Fjord', which is a small barrier inlet with a deep channel in the centre and a large, shallow area in the western part of the inlet.
From the hill 'Munkebo Bakke', which rises 58 metres above sea level, you can enjoy an outstanding view of Kertinge Nor.
North of Kerteminde lies the isthmus Hindsholm, which offers a scenic and exceptional nature with i.a. Fyns Hoved (the tip of Funen), beaches, hills, picturesque villages, large manor houses and more relics. By Fyns Hoved the magnificent nature is rich in animals.
The island Romsø in the Great Belt is also worth a visit. This pearl of natural history offers a wild, thick nature with a large stock of fallow deer.
In Kerteminde you can play tennis, petanque and minigolf, waterski, dive and play beach-volley. Within a radius of 25 km from Kerteminde you will find 3 golf courses by: 'Sct. Knuds Golfklub' in Nyborg, 'Odense Eventyr Golf' and 'Odense Golfklub'.
The area is suitable for bicycle rides. Try f.x. the route around the cove or a trip to the peninsula Hindsholm. Both trips offer a unique nature.
A number of good fishing spots are available along the shores around Kertinge and on Hindsholm. Furthermore it is possible to go deep-sea fishing onboard a fishing vessel from Kerteminde. From the harbour of Kerteminde you can sail out to the scenic island Romsø.
In Ladby, 2 km from Kertinge, you can experience the 'Ladbyskibet', which is Denmark's only boat grave from the viking age. The nearby church of Rynkeby is unique because of its fresco paintings (5 km).
The 1,000-year-old Kerteminde is a vivid and charming commercial town with a fishing harbour, a large and cosy marina, interesting shops, restaurants and sights. You will sense the quite special atmosphere in the narrow alleys with the colourful small houses, the old merchant's houses and the red roofs (6 km).
'Farvergården' in Kerteminde was originally an old merchant's house from the year 1630. The museum contains a living room from a farm house and from a middle class house from around the year 1850 among other things.
In the aqua centre 'Fjord- & Bæltcentret' in Kerteminde you can experience the mysteries of the sea, seen with the eyes of a diver, from a 50 metres long underwater tunnel or get close to f.x. porpoise from the outdoor bridge.
Viby on Hindsholm is one of the most well-preserved villages in Funen with half-timbered houses and a newly restored mill, which is running during the summer (13 km).
Visit the home town of 'H.C. Andersen', Odense, a modern and evocative town with a number of leisure potentialities in the shape of music, theatre, shows on the squares of the town, pedestrian streets, cafés, restaurants and pubs (16 km).
In Odense Zoo you can see a special chimpanzee department and a large 'Oceanarium'. 'Den Fynske Landsby' by Odense is an open-air museum, showing a Funen village environment from around the year 1850.
The beautiful castle 'Egeskov Slot' by Kværndrup has a beautiful garden, a giant maze and more museums (42 km).
