The area offers a lovely nature with bird sanctuaries, cliffs, hills, forests, more good bathing beach as well as many cultural sights in the shape of grave mounds, cromlechs and passage graves. Nature lovers, anglers, golf players and historical interested persons will be comfortable in these surroundings.
It is possible to buy groceries in the area, but if you to choose between a larger selection of shops and offers, you can visit Rudkøbing, the 'capital' of Langeland, which is situated about 22 km from Magleby.

The beach 'Ristinge Strand' is one of the best bathing beaches on Langeland with dunes and clear water. The wide beach is facing south, has white sand as well as calm and shallow water, which makes it very suitable for children. This beach also offers good conditions for windsurfing, and furthermore, it has the Blue Flag (10 km).
One of the best beaches on Langeland (and in Denmark as well) you will find by Hesselbjerg, about 10 km from Magleby. The beach of Hesselbjerg has fine sand, dunes and calm, shallow water. The beach is very suitable for children and has the Blue Flag
'Bukkemose Strand', which is situated on the east coast opposite Humble, is a fine, peaceful and sandy beach. The bathing possibilities are good and the opportunities for self-expression are plentiful here (12 km).
The large preserved bird sanctuary 'Tryggelev Nor' is situated on the west coast of Langeland, 6 km north-east of Magleby. This area contains a number of marked routes and a few mounds from the bronze age (6 km).
The cliff 'Dovns Klint' is the southernmost point of Langeland and a popular excursion spot as well. Here you can also experience a rich bird life (6 km).
The forest 'Humble Skov', just west of the town Humble, is a nice place to walk in (ca. 9 km).
From the impressive 20 metres high cliff 'Ristinge Klint' you can enjoy the amazing view of the area and the archipelago (12 km).
The cove 'Ristinge Nor' is a small wetlands with shallow water on the northern coast of 'Ristinge Hale'. The place is an important resting place for wading birds.
The area 'Hatbakkerne' consists of 690 separate hills, standing abreast and stretching all over southern and eastern Langeland. By Nordenbro and Næbbeskov you can see some exceptional scenic specimen of the hills.
It is possible to fish along the shores and in the Put & Take fishponds of the area, i.a. in the scenically situated pond 'Langelands Lystfiskersø' by Tryggelev (6 km). The coasts by the lighthouse 'Kelsnor Fyr' as well as by the cliffs 'Dovns Klint' and 'Ristinge Klint' are popular fishing spots. Deep-sea fishing trips with a fishing vessel are arranged from Humble.
The golf course of 'Langslands Golf Klub' is a scenically situated 18-hole course. While you are playing golf here, you can enjoy the view of the water 'Langelandsbæltet' and the nature area 'Hatbakkerne' (6 km).
Good nature experiences await you along the many marked walking and bicycle paths of the area.
Surf Center Langeland by Humble offers water activities for the whole family. Here you can dive, snorkel, try a banana boat or sail in canoe and kayak.
The former military installations 'Langelandsfortet', just east of Bagenkop, today function as a museum, and here you can see the canons, the bunkers and an exhibition about the cold war (2 km).
From the lighthouse 'Keldsnor Fyr' on the south-east coast of Langeland, you can enjoy the great view of Keldsnor and the tip of the island (5 km).
Bagenkop on the southern tip of Langeland is an old, cosy fishing town. During the summer you can enjoy the vivid and pleasant holiday atmosphere here when the yachts anchor in the small marina. Here you will find restaurants as well as petanque courts. Bagenkop is the most important fishing town on Langelands, and when the fishing vessels return from the sea, you can buy fresh fish in the old fishing harbour (5 km). The passage grave 'Hulbjerg Jættestue' by Bagenkop is one of the relics of the island. Here it is possible to crawl into the old burial chamber, but don't forget the torch.
Ristinge is a small, cosy fishing hamlet with lots of atmosphere, and in the small harbour you can buy fresh fish every day (11 km). By the cliff 'Ristinge Klint' you can see an old cromlech.
The manor house 'Skovsgaard' is situated north of Humble and contains more museums, f.x. a carriage museum and a servant museum (8 km).
Visit the 700-years old marked town Rudkøbing with the original beautiful houses, the old part of town, the idyllic and narrow streets with the uneven cobblestones and the cosy marina (22 km).
In town you can also visit 'Langeland Museum' with ancient collections, 'Det Gamle Apotek' (the old pharmacy) and the shipping museum 'Søfartsudstillingen'.
By the red castle 'Tranekær Slot' (29 km) you will also find the castle park 'Ticon' with nature art, the castle museum 'Tranekær Slotsmuseum', 'Souvenariet' with souvenirs and the preserved mill 'Tranekær Slotsmølle'.
Experience 'Tom Knudsens Safarimuseum' in Tranekær with trophy from all over the world.
