The holiday area is situated in the bay 'Karrebæksminde Bugt' and by the lagoon 'Holsteinborg Nor' - a game preserve with a rich bird life. Here you cannot only enjoy the refreshing nature and the recreational surroundings, but also the cultural offers in the nearby, old commercial town Næstved, which has preserved a part of it's buildings from the Middle Ages (21 km).
Just east of the harbour in Bisserup you will find a lovely bathing beach with the Blue Flag.
The beautiful, wide and sandy beach of Karrebæksminde (18 km) has a sandy bottom and the Blue Flag. The clear water is very shallow by the edge, and therefore the beach is very suitable for children.
The lagoon 'Holsteinborg Nor' is connected with the sea (Smålandsfarvandet) through 2 small streams. Large parts of 'Holsteinborg Nor' are drain at some periods of the year, and therefore the area enables numerous birds to find food here.
To the west of 'Holsteinborg Nor' the cove 'Basnæs Nor' is situated. Both of the coves are divided by a dam, which leads to the island Glænø.
On Glænø the landscape is characterized by hills and hillsides. Here you will also find a lovely bathing beach and a bird sanctuary. From Glænø you can enjoy a scenic view of the island Ormø.
'Enø Overdrev' (18 km) is a preserved bird sanctuary, where you can observe seals as well, if you are in luck.
The golf course of the club 'Næstved Ny Golfklub' is situated only 16 km from Bisserup and offers a scenic view of the inlet 'Karrebæk Fjord'. The golf club 'Sydsjællands Golfklub' by Mogenstrup is situated 22 km from the holiday area.
Anglers will find good opportunities from the piers in Karrebæksminde (18 km) or in the stream 'Susåen' (27 km), where it is possible to catch pikes.
If you feel like riding on a horse, you can visit the riding school 'Baunehøj' by Næstved. Næstved and its immediate surroundings offer leisure activities like f.x. tennis, volleyball, table tennis, bowling, shooting, swimming baths and a go-cart track.
It is possible to walk along the lagoon 'Holsteinborg Nor'. If you walk about 16 km over fields and through forests, you will reach the castle 'Holsteinborg Slot', which is one of the most famous castles in the country because of it's magnificent location. From the main building you can enjoy the view of the waters 'Smålandshavet', the Great Belt and the idyllic, small islands Glænø and Ormø. The lovely island Enø (18 km) consists of 2 parts, which are connected with each other by means of a small bar. On the northern part of the island, the village Enø is situated, and on the southern part you will find a preserved bird sanctuary. Enø is connected with the cosy fishing and tourist town Karrebæksminde through a bridge. Here you will find a cosy atmosphere, an evocative marina, a minigolf course, good shopping possibilities as well as more restaurants and cafés. By the canal and the boat harbour, you will find a smokehouse, fishing vessels and a vivid fishing trade.
Visit the vivid commercial town Næstved, which is surrounded by a scenic nature and offers a number of historic sights (21 km).
North-east of the island Enø you will find the island Gavnø with the old castle of the same name. 'Gavnø Slot' has one of Denmark's most beautiful flower parks. Experience the butterfly section here as well (26 km).
Bonbonland in Holme-Olstrup offers more than 70 activities for the whole family, i.a. 'Vildsvinet' - Denmark's largest roller coaster, a rafting course, carousels, circus, children's theatre, a pirate lake and much more (28 km).
The palace garden 'Gisselfeld Slotspark' by Bråby is one of Northern Europe's most scenic gardens with many botanical rarities (41 km),
