The quietly situated holiday house area lays only a few hundred metres from the beach and is surrounded by lovely nature. It is possible to buy groceries within a radius of 1 km. Look forward to the refreshing nature, but also to the sight of beautiful castles, churches and numerous museums. The nearest larger town is Frederikssund, which is situated about 11 km from here.
The beach of Dalby Huse is ideal for families with small children. The fine sand and the shallow water between the sand banks make the beach very suitable for children.
Go f.x. on a daytrip to the beach of Kulhuse (18 km) - a lovely, sandy beach with the Blue Flag, which is situated directly by the harbour of Kulhuse.
Between Kulhuse and the village Lynæs, the inlet ¿Roskilde Fjord¿ creates good conditions for windsurfers.
The forest 'Nordskoven' contains Denmark's oldest oaks. The area offers a number of walking and bicycle paths (18 km).
With its 40 square kilometres the lake 'Arresø' (34 km from Dalby Huse) is the largest lake in Denmark. Here you will find good opportunities for walks and bicycle rides along the lake. The route around the lake is 50 km long. It is also possible to go on a cosy sail on the lake.
Not far from the lake, you will find the hilly area 'Tibirke Bakker', which is a lovely and preserved nature area with heathery hills. From a viewpoint in the area you can enjoy the great view of the lake 'Arresø', the forest 'Gribskov' and a bite of the inlet 'Roskilde Fjord'.
IIn this area, anglers will find good opportunities from the shores, on the sea or in one of the nearby Put & Take fishponds.
Golf players can try out some of the many courses of this area. Within a distance of 7 km from the holiday house area, you will find the course of 'Frederikssund Golf Klub'.
In the botanical garden 'Gerlevparken' you can admire more than 5,000 plants (6 km), and by Skibby you can visit the Renaissance castle 'Selsø Slot' with i.a. the country's most aristocratic baronial hall as well as a dungeon (8 km).
The mill 'Jægerspris Mølle' is still running, and in the summer you can buy freshly milled flour here (8 km).
The castle 'Jægerspris Slot' was build in the Middle Ages, and here you can experience a memorial place, exhibitions and a beautiful palace garden (9 km).
Frederikssund (11 km) is a cosy commercial town by the inlet with a pedestrian street, shops and good restaurants, but the town is also the domicile for the Vikings, and during the summer, viking plays are presented here.
Visit the museum 'J.F. Willumsens Museum' in Frederikssund, which solemnly exhibits works of the artist J.F. Willumsen. The collection contains paintings, drawings, graphics, pottery, sculptures and photos.
Kulhuse is situated on the tip of the area 'Hornsherred', and from here a ferry sails to the village Sølager. The well-preserved and beautiful houses bear witness of the fact that Kulhuse is an old village (18 km).
At the viking museum 'Vikingemuseet' in Roskilde you will get acquainted with the interesting story of the Vikings (39 km).
Helsinge is an active and cosy commercial town with sights, pedestrian street, fountains, shops and restaurants (46 km).
The amusement park 'Nordsjællands Sommerpark' in Græsted is a cornucopia of amusements and activities for both children and adults. Among other things it offers a jungle path and a water world (50 km).
Visit the capital Copenhagen with sights like the Tivoli, a planetarium, the adventure centre 'Eksperimentarium', the art museum 'Carlsberg Glyptotek', the castle 'Rosenborg Slot' with the crown jewels, København Zoo and much more (54 km).
