The small and charming fishing hamlet and summer cottage area Kindvig Enge invites relaxation, comfort and nature experiences.
As Kindvig Enge is an older summer cottage area, the growth is now so high that it provides shelter around the sites. By the shore you will find a small marina and a jetty. The area is surrounded by level landscapes with fields and green areas, and the vegetation grows all the way down to the water’s edge.
Here you will have fresh sea breeze, lovely nature and tranquillity, and if you wish to experience more, towns, nature sights and tourist attractions can be found within a short distance.
It is possible to buy groceries in Mern (5 km) and if you would like to visit a town with more offers, you can go to Præstø (13 km) or Vordingborg (16 km).
Kindvig Enge does not have a sandy beach, but it is possible to swim from a bathing jetty by the marina. The bottom is stony and the water by the jetty is about 1 meter deep.
By Sandvig (3 km towards north) and Kalvehave (11 km towards south) you will find good bathing beaches. On the peninsular Feddet, 26 km towards north, you can enjoy a wide sandy beach with small dunes.
Kindvig Enge is surrounded by fields and green areas, and just south of the summer cottage area you will find the beautiful forest Viemose Skov. Here you can enjoy the untouched and varying nature as well as the rich bird and animal life (app. 6 km).
Feddet, a 5 km long peninsula, which stretches through the inlet Præstø Fjord, has a varying nature. The protected moor area with dunes and meadows is also home to a large number of birds, which can be observed from a gazebo. The inlet Præstø Fjord as well as the small island Maderne and the peninsular Feddet are bird sanctuaries (26 km).
Experience the spectacular cliff Møns Klint with the chalk-white steep slopes towards the sea. The different layers of chalk, clay and gravel cause the slope to move constantly (38 km).
Anglers can throw out the line in the sea by Kindvig Enge, in the inlet Præstø Fjord, from the peninsular Feddet or in one of the Put & Take ponds of the area.
The untouched nature, surrounding Kindvig Enge, can be enjoyed on foot or on bicycle. Rønnede Golfklub offers a scenic and interesting golf course with 18 holes. You will equally find a glider club near Rønnede (35 km).
Visit the maze park Kalvehave Labyrintpark, which challenges both children and adults, who venture into the maze (9 km).
Præstø is a charming old commercial town. Here you will find shops, restaurants and tourist attractions, like e.g. the active pottery Rødeled with a historic atmosphere, where you can follow the work process as the clay is transformed into an article for everyday use (13 km).
You can also visit the commercial town Vordingborg, which offers pedestrian street, cosy cafés, sights and the landmark of the town, the tower Gåsetårnet, which belongs to one of Denmark's greatest castle ruins from the Middle Ages (16 km).
Go on a sail on the inlet Præstø Fjord with the tour boat Fjordkaperen, which sails from Præstø (13 km) to the harbour Fed Havn on the peninsular Feddet.
Bonbonland in Holme-Olstrup offers more than 70 amusements for the whole family - among others the switchback 'Vildsvinet', a rafting course, carousels, circus, children's theatre, pirate lake and much more (44 km).
Come close to the wild animals of Knuthenborg Safaripark near Bandholm on Lolland. Here the animals live in natural habitats - right around your car (67 km).
The capital Copenhagen offers tourist attractions like Tivoli, Planetarium, Eksperimentarium, Carlsberg Glyptotek, the castle Rosenborg Slot, Copenhagen Zoo and much more (103 km).
