Bjolderup is a small village between the towns Tinglev and Rødekro, less than 20 kilometres from the Danish-German border. The historic military path Hærvejen leads close by this beautiful area, which offers idyllic forests and more burial mounds from the antiquity - among others the mounds Toppenhøj and Bredhøj. 15 km from here you will find the evocative market town Aabenraa with a cosy marina, pedestrian streets, an old quarter and the art museum Brundlund Slot.
When you spend your holiday in Bjolderup you can enjoy the fresh air and the unspoiled nature surroundings on the site or visit the beautiful forest Bolderslev Skov, which has a jungle look. Furthermore, Bjolderup is centrally located regarding excursions for the all of southern Jutland.
The lovely and very child-friendly beach Sønderstrand is located near Aabenraa. Here you can enjoy the fine sand, shallow water and lovely sandy bottom. During the summer various activities are arranged on the beach.
Around the inlet of Aabenraa you will also find other good bathing beaches, like for example near Skarrev and Loddenhøj.
Between the towns Bolderslev and Uge, near Bjolderup, you will find the big and varying forest areas, which form the forest Bolderslev Skov. A few years ago, the forest was preserved, and today you can experience a rich animal life and more rare birds along the many walking paths of the forest. You can also observe many birds from the paths or conning-towers of the moor area Tinglev Mose.
Near Bjolderup you will find more good fish ponds, among others the Put & Take ponds Lovstrup Lystfiskesø and Uge Lystfiskeri.
Near Tinglev you will find the golf course Sønderjyllands Golfklub, which offers courses in a scenic and hilly terrain.

The beautiful old market town Aabenraa is a sight in itself. Many old houses and streets are extremely well-preserved, and you are carried back to the old days when you take a walk through the narrow and lopsided streets (15 km).
Take a daytrip to the German border, which is located just 24 km from Bjolderup. On the way you can visit the old prison camp Frøslevlejren by the German border, which contains more interesting museums.
The area, surrounding Aabenraa, is rich in historic memorials in the shape of mills, castles and the like.
The castle Gråsten Slot and its palace garden are surrounded by the beautiful nature of Southern Jutland with forest and lakes. The richly decorated chapel and the flowery palace garden are accessible to the public (30 km).
The mill Dybbøl Mølle (originally from the year 1744) is located in a former military area and today it is converted into a museum with pictures and memento from the battle field (39 km).
The castle Sønderborg Slot is restored in Baroque style and contains among other things a museum for the history of Southern Jutland (40 km).
During the summer you can experience town fairs in Southern Jutland, where the old sport tilting at the ring is carried out.
