Towards north the beach is reserved for pedestrians and cyclists. Here you will also find the sandy peninsular 'Søren Jessens Sand' with a lovely beach life and a good beach. Everywhere the beach is very suitable for children, as the sandy bottom only slopes slightly into the sea. However, the water gets deeper after every sand bar. The beach is 18 km long and stretches all the way from Fanø Bad to Sønderho. Due to the difference in water level during high and low tide, the possibilities of finding amber on the beach are very good. Furthermore, walks, swimming, surfing, kite flying and buggy driving are very popular activities here.

Nature

The unique nature is characterized by dune landscapes, moor areas with heather, dikes, marsh, fields, dunes, beach, the North Sea and the Jutland Wadden Sea.
