About Us – Over 45 Years of Experience in Danish Holiday Home Rentals
Since 1979, sologstrand.com has been a key player in Danish holiday home rentals. It all started in Lyngså in Northern Jutland when the couple Margit and Kjeld Andersen had the idea to make privately owned summer houses available for guests. What began as a local venture has grown into one of the industry’s largest operators, offering over 7,000 summer houses across Denmark.

sologstrand.com is 100% Danish-owned, and our approach to holiday home rentals is based on fundamental Danish values such as trust, accountability, and community. For us, a holiday is not just about relaxation – it’s also about creating memorable experiences for guests and homeowners, and positively contributing to the local communities we serve.
In 2019, Margit and Kjeld Andersen decided to transfer the majority of their shares to a newly established business foundation – “Foundation sologstrand by Margit and Kjeld.” With a 75% stake, the foundation is the main owner of sologstrand.com, and its clear purpose is to keep the company Danish-owned while ensuring that a part of the profit is donated to charitable causes and local initiatives. The foundation supports philanthropic and humanitarian efforts and has already contributed over 10 million DKK to projects that make a real difference.
