In most cases, Saturday is the move-in day for holiday homes, and therefore you may find that the waste has not been collected when you arrive. This is because there is no waste collection on Saturdays. At Sol og Strand's local office, you can inquire about the waste collection times.
Please note that sorting containers are now used for waste, and it is important to follow the local guidelines for waste sorting. In some municipalities, it is also required that food waste is placed in a closed bag before being thrown into the container. Failure to sort waste or use bags may result in problems with waste collection. If in doubt about proper sorting, please contact Sol og Strand's local office.
Remember, only original waste bags will be collected. The bag must only be filled to the dotted line; otherwise, it will not be collected. If you need an extra waste bag, you can contact Sol og Strand's local office, the nearest grocery store, or the tourist office.
From September to May, waste is collected only every 14 days in many holiday home areas. If this causes any issues, please contact us.
Please do not leave open waste bags, cardboard boxes, cans, or similar items in front of the holiday home, as this attracts cats, rats, and other animals.
